When Matt Groening created a series of animated short stories about a dysfunctional family, he named them after his real family (substituting “Bart” for his own character). Little did he know that he realize that he’d still be telling stories about this family more than 20 years later. The Simpsons is now in its 21st season, has won 25 Emmy Awards, and spawned a feature-length film. You can trace its rich history and cast through this 20th Anniversary poster.
