Forty years ago today, Neil Armstrong took a “giant leap for mankind” and freed us forever from our earthly bonds. After a decade of frantic labors, during which many paid the ultimate sacrifice, the Apollo 11 mission landed on the lunar surface and began a new age of human exploration.
